The Devil You Don’t
David Javerbaum wrote the Broadway hit An Act of God, which starred Jim Parsons and has since been translated into 20 languages. The Devil You Don’t is the companion piece we need right now.
The Devil takes the audience on a stand-up-style tour through a modernized Nine Circles of Hell. He is joined by two demon sidekicks, one suave and one grotesque, who offer literary quotations, commentary, and plenty of trouble. The Devil You Don’t is a satirical and irreverent hour that takes on religion, politics, and human hypocrisy. It is laugh-out-loud funny, but it also has something surprisingly sharp to say about complicity and self-destruction.
